We have made a number of changes to our various COVID protocols as a result of the government’s recent announcement regarding the removal of all restrictions on social mixing as of 19 July.
It will no longer be a legal requirement for people visiting the hall to wear a face covering. It will now be up to event organisers to make their own arrangements with regard to face coverings.
For the pop-up Post Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, please observe the floor markings in order to maintain a safe distance when queuing to enter the Post Office room, and do not enter until the previous customer has exited. It will no longer be necessary to wear a mask when using the Post Office provided these rules are observed, although you are of course free to do so should you so wish.
The male and female toilet suites can now be accessed again, but only by one person at a time. The accessible toilet in the foyer is also still available for general use as necessary. The kitchen has also been unlocked and will be generally accessible to hall users.
The hall’s COVID secure notice and COVID risk assessment have both been updated and are available on the COVID protocols page of this website. The Special Conditions of Hire have not yet been amended pending advice from ACRE, the national village halls network organisation, but we will update this document as soon as possible. If any hall user has a concern about any of the provisions of this document in the meantime, please contact us as necessary for clarification.
