Having recently had the badminton court markings repainted we have taken the opportunity to add two new broken white lines so that the hall can now also be used for pickleball. We have purchased a pickleball starter kit comprising a net, four bats / paddles and six indoor pickleballs, and this equipment is available for general use by hirers as necessary.
If you live in Hartpury and you would like to have a go, we will be offering a special arrangement whereby you can hire the hall for pickleball at the discounted rate which normally only applies to regular weekly events, i.e. £9.00 per hour, until the end of April 2026. If you submit a booking request as normal via the village hall website using the Hallmaster booking system and quoting “pickleball” as the event name we will arrange to apply this discounted rate. Please note that the minimum booking period of 1.5 hours will still apply, including the time needed to assemble and disassemble the net.
We have included some laminated copies of the rules in the equipment bag for information, along with a copy of the instructions for assembling the net.
We also hope to arrange a couple of open / drop in sessions where anyone who is interested can come along and have a brief try without having to make a separate booking – more details to follow.
