We are now able to offer our hirers the use of a digital electric piano which has been generously provided to the hall in the form of a long term loan by Sue and Robin Knox. The instrument has been placed in the wings on the side of the stage and we would request that hall hirers don’t attempt to move it without express permission.
Simple instructions for the new piano are available here. It can also be connected to the hall’s audio system by following these instructions but beware, the volume settings will need to be set carefully to prevent an ear-splitting outcome!
We will shortly arrange for the old piano to be removed from the hall. This wonderful old instrument has done great service over many years, but it has a number of disadvantages compared with more modern digital pianos, not least due to its large size and very considerable weight as well as the need for it to be professionally tuned on a regular basis.
